Cyber Predictions by Robert Kuntz

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
For the Very Near Future...
In this day and age of hi-tech gadgets and electronic surfboards, mankind has progressed into what is merely the beginning of a new cyber life-style.
Even though all eyes are focusing on this fairly new electronic fascination, we have just begun developing the technology that will soon become mainstream for everyday living, playing and working.
The television and internet/world wide web will become one. All TV and radio programming will be broadcast via satellite to your wireless modems.
All forms of media will become completely interactive in virtual environments on the web.
Advertising and marketing will stake high claims in this technology movement and create more exposure for goods and services than any other form of advertising in history.
New homes will be built completely cyber interactive for their occupants, and of course, plugged right into the web. This includes everything from home security to built-in cyber home offices plus much more.
Through the 50s to the 90s, people spent more time glued to their TVs than any other "pastime" activity. From the year 2000 on, people will spend even more time in a cyber chair with bags under their eyes from staring at a three dimensional display screen for too long.
More and more corporations will invest in "hi- tech" automation putting more blue and white collar employees out of work. This in turn will increase the number of small time cyber entrepreneurs looking to create a living from their home computers.
Fortunes will be made by the little guys with the big ideas. Pursuing new technologies will give birth to mega-million dollar cyber companies that did not exist even 12 to 24 months prior to their stardom.
Existing mega-billion dollar corporations will step in to the scene with their media contacts and try (somewhat successfully) to manipulate and control the cyber industry with their money and power.
Microsoft will actually have competition in what will become known as the "Great Cyber Wars of the Year 2000 and Beyond". The dueling companies will be scrambling to buy up every last bit of new technology that hits the market.
Underlying development companies run by small time entrepreneurs will become huge overnight successes by lending a hand in developing and packaging the new technologies.
Major Corporations such as AT&T, Turner Broadcasting and more will form alliances in order to bring the end consumer complete cyber entertainment, education, and business packages.
Cyber jobs will become the mainstream line of work for the post-2000 modern day worker. The home office will replace commuting to corporate offices for many cyber workers. Sales people in this new cyber world will, as with in any time period throughout history, be among the highest paid in the new cyber workforce, by helping move billions of dollars in goods and services via the internet/world wide web.
Web based 3D "virtual reality" communities will become the norm. These communities will "web" everything together into convenient cyber packages.
All sorts of small companies and major corporations alike are already forming and molding the foundation to all of this today.
With this knowledge, cyber entrepreneurs can arm themselves with the insight needed to pursue and obtain levels of success fit for a king - or Bill Gates, depending on how you look at it:)
